I normally stay away from books that hit too close to home. I have a lot on my plate and normally books are my escape. I look for HEAs and fantasy. Something about this book drew me in though and as emotionally tolling it was, I am so glad I read it. The first chapter is the hardest to get through. If you have ever had a loved one go through hospice you will need a box of tissues to get through it. But keep going. It is one of the best, non-paranormal books I have read in a long time. I loved being part of Jo’s journey and I am so thankful to Kathi for writing this book. It actually gave me a bit of closure from my grandfather’s death. It gives you a new perspective. It’s a must read.
